Yuzuki Aoba (蒼葉 結月, Aoba Yuzuki), voiced by Kelly Greenshield, is a clumsy 17 year old girl who aims to become the head priestess of Mikazuki Temple to save it from being closed, which would force her friends and family to become destitute.
She is always kind, forgiving and considerate of others, sometimes to her own detriment. However, when the situation calls she can summon the strength of a grizzly bear, becoming quite intimidating.
When she was younger she had a carefree teasing nature, but was forced to grow up fast for the sake of her family. Adopting the role of caretaker and guardian, she has to make hard decisions which at times can be quite impulsive, like getting engaged to the head priest of their sect's main temple to keep her temple open.
Everything changes when she bulldozes Akagami with a rice barrel one night, tilting her world off its axis for the better.
